Camp Grace 2016 is now complete……

On Saturday, August 6th, 2016 Camp Grace closed out camp with a day of packing, cleaning, and saying goodbye. After an evening that started with a great message from Bro. Kory Mears, we enjoyed a time of fellowship and singing that helped solidify the feeling of the Spirit moving throughout camp this year. After the singing was complete it was time to say goodnight and get ready for our last day.

However, light’s out couldn’t occur without one more epic water balloon and water gun fight between the boys and girls. Of course the boys had to get their revenge after the embarrassing ambush they managed to walk into two nights before, that left them soaking wet and swimming in thoughts of revenge.

The battle was engaged with the boys managing to land five well placed water balloon artillery shells (from water balloon slingshots) on the girls’ cabins and ended for the night (and year) with a last ditch desperate assault on the boys’ cabins defensive lines with the support of a rapid assault vehicle. (Well it was actually the car of our activities coordinator, but it did the job).

With the fun over the campers got a night of sleep, although not a full night.

I want to personally thank all the adults who volunteered to be counselors, to work in the kitchen, and those who helped do anything and everything that needed to be done.    Without you and your help Camp this year would not have been the success it was.

To the campers I want to say thank you and that I will be  praying for each of you as you return to your homes and lives outside of camp.   You are the reason for this year’s camp and I am blessed to have had the opportunity to meet and spend time with you.   I pray that each of you continue to grow and be strengthened in your walk with God.

And remember that nothing is impossible for our Lord….

Luke 18:27 “And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
